Wines offered are Rosé of Pinot Noir, White Pinot Noir, 3 Red Pinot Noir vintages and 2 Sparkling Wines. And, the sparkling wines are made in the Méthode Champenoise style. Welcome to Bellingar Estates! We are a tiny, family-owned and operated winery in the heart of Willamette Valley Wine Country. This adventure started long ago, when a little boy with big dreams wanted to grow grapes and then went and did just that. Evan (he’s older now) spends his days managing hundreds of acres of vineyards here in the Northern Willamette Valley, and Kim spent well over a decade in operations at Adelsheim Vineyard.
Today, we live and work to establish our family’s vineyard nestled at the base of the Chehalem Mountains and are delighted to welcome visitors to our little slice of reality. Taste some beautiful wines, enjoy the views, wander through our cut flower garden, visit the chickens, and peruse some of Kim’s brightly colored arts and crafts. And did I mention we have wine?
The original vineyard launched when ground was broken to plant Gamay Noir in what we now call the Shipman Vineyard just South East of Salem, Oregon. Not too long after becoming farmers and dreaming of making great wine the partners in Benedetto discovered and aquired a mature producing vineyard of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay just outside of Dallas, Oregon. Today the Dallas Vineyard is home to our tasting room.
Benedetto is “The Blessing” of family. As a true family operation, we welcome everyone who works in the vineyards and tasting room into our family where the strength of togetherness, teamwork and love dictate our direction. Focussed on the common goals that customer experience is paramount, and that great wine starts with hard work and passion in the vineyards, our team always strives to bring our customers great wine and great experiences.
Both of Benedetto’s vineyards are family owned and operated local farms. These properties not only produce wine grapes, but are cared for as valued family assets. We value the wildlife and ecosystems we share our properties with and the lands beyond. We live and operate upstream of additional ecosystems and special concern is given to the fact that all of our practices could potentially effect the creatures that share our great drainage.

The reason is that vineyards producing exceptional red wine fruit flourish within a few hours of our winery in Newberg, Oregon. We carefully source our grapes from the best of those vineyards to yield the classic characteristics that distinguish each varietal.
In the 1970s a handful of pioneers inspired the winemaking world by proving that Oregon deserved a slot on the list of the world’s esteemed wine regions. Catman Cellars pays tribute to those intrepid visionaries by continuing to build on their proud legacy.
Chris James Cellars is a family owned and operated vineyard and winery that produces unique and interesting wines in Carlton, Oregon. We produced our first wines in 2015 and have since grown to offer a wide selection of whites, reds and sparkling wines. Our approach to white wines is to emphasize and preserve the varietal aromatics, flavor and acidity. In red wines we seek to develop intense flavors through harvest decisions and wine-making techniques during fermentation; we focus on mouthfeel and silky texture during maturation.
